Bail Bonding FAQ:

How Bail Bonds Work Generally:

1. Within 24-48 hours following an arrest, a judge will set the bail amount during bail hearing.

2. The defendant then has the following options if the judge does not allow an own recognizance bail:
                a. Choose to do nothing and remain in jail until the court date
                b. Pay the full amount of the bail in cash out of pocket or via acceptable property. The defendant will then be released but will not get these funds back until returning on the court date.
                c. Employ a bail bondsman to assist.

3. You and the credible co-signer should Call Adrian at (919) 723-0091.

4. The bail bond service will require the defendant to pay up to 15% of the full bail amount and the bail bondsman will pay the court the full amount of the bail to assure your release.

5.  2nd Chance Bail Bonding: The Next Step is taking the risk (along with the co-signer) because they are guaranteeing that the defendant will be in court on the scheduled date.

6. If the defendant fails to appear in court, a warrant for arrest is issued and the bail amount must be paid in full to the bail bond service.
